The fact that the owners show no respect or consideration to people who give their input or reviews, that alone shows the mentality of the owners.Unfortunately, they’re the only Indian restaurant in that vicinity. We actually stopped going there and take the hike to Edison off oak tree rd, where the Indian food is much cheaper and quality is much better. It’s worth the ride! He’s been taking advantage of people for years with those high prices. Reviews go a long way and people have the right to express their opinion when they’re paying top dollar for low quality food. The food quality has went down the drain over the past few years they doused their food in oil. I know, traditional Indian food is made with ghee, but more oil than food is not good. The fact that he tells his reviewers to go to other places, that alone would be a greenlight for me to never want to walk in that restaurant ever again, and it shows their character and how they care about their customers.I haven’t gone in a long time anyway so just wanted to put my input on all the reviews to let them know that they’re absolutely telling the truth. Almost $18 for 16oz of lentils is insane. Legumes are the cheapes

We’ve been longtime customers of Amantraan, and after living in DC, NYC, and Jersey City, we can confidently say we haven’t found another Indian restaurant that does paneer makhani and pizza naan the way Amantraan does. Every time we’re anywhere near Toms River, it’s a must-stop for us. The flavors are consistently incredible and truly unmatched. It’s hands-down the best and even our dog is a fan of our favorite order.

I had an absolutely delicious meal at this Indian restaurant! I started with the Chana Salad β€” so fresh and perfectly balanced with a light, tangy tamarind sauce. The bread was warm, soft, and just incredible β€” the kind you keep reaching for β€” and it paired beautifully with the Crab Malabar. I’ve never had crab in an Indian dish before, and the rich coconut flavors made it a true standout. To top it all off, I had the Mango Lassi, which was honestly the best I’ve ever had β€” smooth, refreshing, and not too sweet. I’ll definitely be back to try the Rose Lassi next time. The staff were lovely and attentive, and the whole experience felt thoughtful and welcoming. Highly recommend β€” a true gem!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Aamantran Indian Cuisine located at 1594 Lakewood Rd, Toms River, NJ 08755, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. This restaurant truly stands out for its remarkable hospitality and delicious food. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm smiles and outstanding service. The owner and the staff were incredibly helpful and went out of their way to ensure we had a fantastic dining experience. One of the first things I noticed was the ample parking, which made our visit hassle-free right from the start. One of the key highlights for me and my family was that Aamantran offers halal food. This is very important to us, and we were thrilled to find such a great restaurant that caters to our dietary needs. The menu had a wide variety of dishes, all of which were flavorful and delicious. Every bite was a testament to the skill and passion of the kitchen staff. What truly made our visit memorable was the personal touch from the owner. The father and son duo were tremendous, sharing fascinating stories about the history of the location. It was wonderful to see such a humble and passionate family running t
